FlavorCast™ Cookware is a line extension to the amazing, original non-stick FlavorStone® Cookware that’s enjoyed by millions of people around the world. It combines the dependability of die cast with the convenience of non-stick! It is die-cast from poured molten aluminum to create super durable pans that are 7x lighter and 5x more affordable than traditional iron die-cast cookware. This cookware is suitable for all types of stove tops - gas, electric, ceramic and induction - and topped with the legendary PFOA free FlavorStone™ non-stick coating with rock and stone particles and exceptional non-stick performance.

The conical shape of each FlavorCast™ pan body allows for easy stackability for compact, space saving storage, while the thick base provides superior warp resistance, heat distribution and heat retention. The base thickness for each FlavorCast™ pan style (Deep Deluxe, Sauté and Casserole) is optimized for its intended cooking use for the optimum cooking experience. The tempered, smart design glass lid features a handle with a built-in spatula holder and allows the lid to stand on its own. The innovative FlavorCast™ removable handle is ergonomically designed and allows for compact storage and extra cooking versatility. It also features a handy magnetic utensil holder. Lastly, the removable silicone handle covers are perfect for serving and transferring any of the FlavorCast™ pans safely from stove to your table.

The FlavorCast™ Cookware pan structure and non-stick surface are durable and built to last if the Cooking & Wash Care Guide instructions are carefully followed. The non-stick surface is also stain-resistant.

Yes, FlavorCast™ Cookware is compatible with all types of stove tops. This includes gas flame, electric burner, ceramic and induction stove tops.

Yes, the FlavorCast™ Cookware pan bodies are oven safe up to 230°C/446°F. However, the removable handle, glass lid and silicone covers are not oven safe. The removable handle can be used to place the pan in the oven or to move the pan from stove to table but it must always be removed during the cooking process. The silicone covers are only intended to be used like oven mitts, to move a hot FlavorCast™ pan.

Yes, you can use oil, butter or other non-stick agents, although it is not recommended to use aerosol cooking sprays with the FlavorCast™ Cookware. You may consider adding less than you would normally use with other cookware. You may consider brushing your pan’s interior with a small amount of cooking oil when preparing foods that tend to stick when cooked.

The removable handle and silicone covers should not be left on the FlavorCast™ pans during the cooking process, especially for dry cooking and with gas stoves as it is very difficult to control the heat in those cases and can result in the removable handle heating up and getting damaged. If the removable handle or silicone covers are left on the pan by accident during cooking, oven mitts must be used to remove them as they may get very hot.

The base thickness for each FlavorCast™ pan type varies based on its most likely or intended use. The Sauté Pans are the thinnest (4.3mm) because they are mostly used for frying where heat-up time needs to be faster, while the Casserole Pans have the thickest base (5.3mm) because they are more likely to be used for food that needs to simmer for a long period of time where the heat retention at lower heats is important. The main “hero” FlavorCast™ Pan, Deep Deluxe, has a thickness of 4.9mm because it is the most versatile.

It should be noted that even the thinnest FlavorCast™ base (on the Sauté Pan) is significantly thicker than the average aluminum pan. This provides superb structural integrity, heat distribution (no hot spots!) and heat retention as well as minimizes warping.

As with any cookware, reasonable care must be taken to preserve your FlavorCast™ Cookware. This cookware can be cleaned without detergent by simply wiping the surface with a paper towel and rinsing under hot water.

Occasionally, some food and/or ingredients will stick to the cookware’s exterior and if not cleaned prior to cooking, it may dry. To remove dried food, soak the pan in water and mild detergent or dishwashing liquid to loosen/soften dried food, then wipe away clean and dry. Occasionally during normal use, the handle may loosen slightly.

Follow these key points in taking care of your FlavorCast™ Cookware:

  • Always wash with a mild detergent or dishwashing liquid when washing your FlavorCast™ Cookware. Wash with water and wipe dry.
  • Never use steel wool, abrasive materials or sharp utensils on your FlavorCast™ Cookware non-stick surfaces.
  • Always allow FlavorCast™ Cookware to cool before washing.
  • Never try to scrape off any dried food from your FlavorCast™ Cookware pans.
  • Use medium to low heat setting to cook your food, because the pans are superconductive. This cookware is NEVER to be used at temperatures over 230°C/446°F.
  • Never place FlavorCast™ Cookware in the microwave, on a BBQ grill, broiler, salamander food warmer, or under heat lamps.
  • Check your pans prior to use, to ensure the handles are tight and that no other damage exists.
  • Never use your FlavorCast™ pans to pound or bang another hard surface or frozen food.

The removable handle and glass lids are NOT dishwasher safe. The lids should always be washed by hand and the removable handle can be cleaned by simply wiping it down with a damp cloth. Do not leave the removable handle submerged in water.

The FlavorCast™ pans on their own are dishwasher safe. However, hand washing with soft detergents and soft sponges will help maintain performance and aesthetic quality. The recommended maximum temperature for FlavorCast™ pans in the dishwasher is 70°C/158°F. There is no need to use the dishwasher after each use. The FlavorCast™ pans can easily cleaned by simply wiping the surface with a paper towel and rinsing under hot water.

Unlike stove tops that concentrate heat in a controlled space, the heat source in BBQs and stove top grills is not compatible with the size of the bottom of the cookware and the heat can damage the removable handle of FlavorCast™ Cookware. Also, the heat source on a BBQ can be very unpredictable and hard to control and it can very easily go over the 230°C/446°F max heat limit that must be followed for FlavorCast™ Cookware.

Yes, there is no PFOA present in the FlavorCast™ Cookware coating.

PFOA is an acronym for perfluorooctanoic acid, a synthetic (man-made) chemical. Some studies indicate that PFOA can cause developmental and other adverse effects in laboratory animals. PFOA also appears to remain in the human body for a long time. PFOA has been detected in industrial waste, stain-resistant carpets, carpet cleaning liquids, house dust, microwave popcorn bags, water, food, and some cookware.

Returns

Our 30 day money back guarantee entitles you to a full refund of the purchase price, less the shipping and handling charges. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, please log into our customer service portal at support.thane.com to access your account and submit a return request to obtain an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization ). You will receive an email from Thane Customer Service within 1 to 2 days with the RMA number and return instructions. Once you have received your RMA number, please return all items in its original condition and packaging. When returning your order, please ensure that you use an insured carrier to return your order.

Please note that Thane is not responsible for any return shipped charges incurred to return your order. Once your order has been received at our fulfillment center, the refund will be processed. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for the credit to appear on your credit card. Refunds do not include shipping and handling or assembly fees and trial fee payments. Refunds for returned orders are processed weekly. If your return shipment tracking number confirms that your order was successfully delivered to our fulfillment center, please allow 7 to 10 business days for the refund to be processed to your credit card. If your order was placed on a 30-day trial offer, the trial fee paid is non-refundable. We do not refund any shipping charges. Warranty

Your Product purchased from Thane Direct USA/Thane.Com is warranted, to the original owner, for 1 Year from date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. Should your Thane Direct USA Product prove defective within 1 Year from date of purchase, you must email or call our Customer Service department at customercareusa@thane.com. Do not return the defective part or unit unless instructed to do so after contacting us.

Under this warranty, Thane Direct USA/Thane.Com will repair or replace any parts found to be defective due to a manufacturer's defect. This warranty extends only to personal use and does not extend to any product that has been used for commercial use, rental use, or use for which it is not intended. There are no warranties other than that expressly set forth herein. This warranty is not transferable. Thane Direct USA/Thane.Com is not responsible in any way for damages, losses or inconveniences caused by equipment failure arising from user negligence, abuse or use not in accordance with the User's Guide or any additional safety, use, or warnings included in the product materials. Further, Thane Direct USA/Thane.Com is not liable for incidental or consequential damages of any nature resulting from the use of this product and any liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.

If you see two transactions posted for the same amount on the same day, you are not being charged twice. What you are seeing is the pre-authorization obtained from your credit card company and the actual charge. It is important to note that in our efforts to get your order delivered to you as quickly as possible you may have as little as one hour or less from order placement to cancel your order.
